This is a community meeting designed for PMI Chapter members in the Asheville metro area

Location:  Hatchworks, 45 S French Broad Ave, Asheville, NC 28801

Speaker:   Pat MacFarland

Topic:         How do Your KPIs Measure Up?

Think that SMART objectives are easy to formulate?  Think again!  Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s, like acronyms, can give you a false sense of security if not carefully constructed.

In her position as Program Manager, Strategic Objectives, Pat MacFarland worked closely with her colleagues at Volvo Construction Equipment to develop and improve processes used in strategy execution follow-up.   This included lessons learned related to KPIs and how to develop appropriate measures for different situations.  Join us as Pat MacFarland shares these real-life experiences and the dos and don’ts of tracking progress towards goals: best practices you can apply immediately to your program, project, or in daily operations.

A former chartered accountant and PMP since 2004, Pat has been actively involved in project management for 15 years. Her experience ranges from systems implementation and product development to post-acquisition integration and strategic execution.  Industry experience runs from small business to multi-nationals in the high-technology and construction equipment manufacturing, sales and service.

Community Chapter Meeting

As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
