Leveraging Technology and Project Management Strategies to Run Lean for Small Business Owners

Michael Moulton

Presented by: Michael Moulton

You can’t flip 35+ houses per year consistently without having developed effective systems, technology and people to do so!  Making your processes repeatable and reproducible are the keys to running a successful business.

Have you ever been a part of a large corporation and wondered: Why does it take so long to get a project done and to realize the results? Why can’t we move faster?  Why can’t we implement current apps and technologies today instead of waiting 3 years to roll it out companywide?” …. Oops, we just missed the opportunity again!

Mike has taken the project management & 6 sigma concepts he learned in corporate America and have applied them to his real estate business to yield consistent results quickly.

Come to this meeting and you will learn:

  • How to adapt & apply corporate project management & 6 sigma principles to your small business to turbo charge your results.
  • The one “Ah-ha” moment that I had in 2012 in my business and how it changed my life
  • My daily wealth principals and the 5 F’s that I have developed my business to support
  • Why focusing on less is more and you can obtain larger results more quickly (Multi-tasking is a myth)
  • The one key thing that I took away from “corporate America”
  • A simple framework to kick the rat race in the butt and take control of your life & career
  • A repeatable & reproducible framework for delegating key tasks to your team/organization.
  • How to leverage offshore resources as a small business owner to automate the lower level tasks in your company.
  • The best apps to implement in your business that have the biggest impact on your results….and most are FREE!
  • How to know which metrics to track, how to track them, and what simple technologies you can use to do it.

Mike started his corporate career in the GE Information Leadership Program and went on to hold many global roles such as a Global IT Manager & Certified 6 Sigma Blackbelt.  He also led many business integrations & e-commerce teams.  In 2005 he officially “fired” his manager and launched his real estate brokerage and investment companies.  He and his team have developed and executed many real estate investment strategies over the years while working through the most recent market downturn.  Mike owns a Charlotte based real estate brokerage called Bee Home Solutions, Inc. which is the brokerage arm to a number of investment companies he owns.

Hope to see you at the meeting!

Chapter Meeting Presentations
As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1.5 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1.5-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1.5 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
