Networking as a Strategic Project Management Resource

ORT_5208-114_RPresented by: MICHAEL J. HUGHES

Successful project management involves the ability to harness and leverage the power and potential of available resources, knowledge and support. Networking is a required skill in today’s matrix-oriented corporate environment. This session is a complete strategy to accelerate project success, positively impact career advancement and get more done through the corporate network.

  • Two types of corporate networks and how to use each.
  • The ”social” network phenomenon and how it is secretly working for you.
  • Six phases of networking and how to maximize each for optimum results.
  • Three secret relationship drivers that impact and accelerate trust.
  • Four-Step Corporate Networking Action Plan.

During this session, participants will discover how to mine and maximize every networking contact. As a result of participating in this program, they will have the ability to build even more productive and profitable relationships, while accelerating results.

Michael, known as North America’s Networking Guru, specializes in helping professionals increase results by improving their ability to develop and leverage relation-ships. For the last twenty-plus years, he has been coaching business, corporate and sales professionals to achieve better results.

Hope to see you at the meeting!

Chapter Meeting Presentations
As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1.5 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1.5-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1.5 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
