Christmas Village Toy Store

Join Us in Giving
The Metrolina Chapter is collecting new toys for the Christmas Village Toy Store (CVTS). We are asking that you join us in giving back to our community this upcoming Christmas season by donating a new toy CVTS. Toys will be collected at the November 17th PMI Metrolina chapter meeting. Joy and Dignity at Christmas
The Christmas Village Toy Store provides a "hand up" for Charlotte families who want to purchase affordable new toys for their children at Christmas. Rather than simply giving a handout of toys to at-risk families, families are empowered to purchase Christmas gifts for their own children. It all starts with donations of new toys from church members and business employees. These toys are then received by toy store volunteers who re-price the gifts by discounting their retail price. Volunteers then stock the store shelves with thousands of great, new gifts for at-risk families to purchase. Families then shop and choose gifts with their own children in mind. In the final act, all the profits from the store itself are then reinvested into the local community through educational grants and scholarships.

Mission & Philosophy
The Christmas Village Toy Store merges benevolence with a free market system that preserves dignity. Benefactors from the community who donate toys and volunteer their time and shoppers who purchase toys both contribute to store profits that are reinvested into the local community. Therefore, even the recipients of the charity are "paying it forward" into their own community. All proceeds of each toy go toward youth group development in the immediate neighborhoods.
