A Night at the Museum

The museum's award winning World Alive Exhibition featuring the Aquarium and three story rainforest will be the backdrop for this meeting. There will be three activities for the event:

1. The curator of the museum will discuss their projects which translate into the many exhibits through the museum. The discussion will include the process and selection as well as the process of building and marketing the exhibits for the museum.

2. There will be an animal encounter during the evening featuring one of the museum's animal residents in a close up encounter.

3. There will be a liquid nitrogen demonstration process with dramatic smoke effects that will yield wine slushies (including non-alcoholic varieties) for sampling.

In order to keep costs minimized, food will not be served at this meeting. Instead, we have opted to open this meeting to allow members to include their family at no charge and have scheduled family friendly presentations.

In order to enable each person to see all three sessions and the exhibits on display discussed by the curator's session, the museum will be open to us from 6-830 pm. This session will qualify for 2 Strategic & Business PDUs.

Hope to see you at the meeting!

Chapter Meeting Presentations
As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow PDU training sessions to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
