Vicki Wrona

Vicki Wrona, PMP, is the founder and President of Forward Momentum, LLC, a woman-owned small business and global PMI® Registered Education Provider that offers instructional design and project management training and consulting.

She has over 20 years of leadership and project management experience, and more than 15 years public speaking and learning / development experience. She has presented at a number of conferences, has trained thousands of people, has mentored individuals and organizations, and has authored multiple white papers, blogs and eBooks.

She was invited to serve on PMI’s committee to write and review the PMBOK® Guide 4th edition, co-developed the blended learning program that won PMI’s Professional Development Product of the Year award, and is the #1 requested speaker in 2016 and #2 in 2017 for CAI (Computer Aid, Inc.) and ITMPI (IT Metrics and Productivity). She has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Soaring Association.

Overcoming Organizational Dysfunction: Using Project Management to Get Work Done

Have you heard about the benefits of project management, but don't see the results? Your organizational culture could be getting in the way. In this session, we will introduce five major organizational barriers and discuss how you can work around them to deliver successful projects, especially if you are not at a level to change the culture.

Appetizers will be served during the meeting.

This is a working meeting designed for PMI Chapter members in the northwest area of the city including Lake Norman and Huntersville.

Community Chapter Meeting 

As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
