Open Volunteer Positions on Professional Development Team

Currently there are multiple volunteer openings with the Professional Development Team. A brief description regarding each open position is listed below. • Study Group Coordinator-Chair The Study Group Coordinator Chair plans, coordinates, and oversees the PMP Study Group activities as part of the PMI-Metrolina Professional Development efforts (VRMS # 6089)

• PDD(Professional Development Day) Volunteer The PDD (Professional Development Day) Volunteer plans, coordinates, and oversees the delivery annual PDD event as part of the PMI-Metrolina Professional Development efforts (VRMS # 6088) – 18 volunteer opportunities

Book Club Moderator The Moderator is responsible for running individual meetings. Using a book discussion outline to be agreed by VP Membership and Chair, the group will discuss book selection and upon completion will rate the book. The Moderator will work closely with the Book Club Chair to ensure information is communicated to book club members prior to and during the event. Moderator will be involved in selecting the books to be discussed and working with the Chair to define how the meeting will be run(VRMS#5175).


Open Volunteer Positions on Programs Team

Currently there are multiple volunteer openings with the Programs Team. A brief description is listed below. Community Co-Chair-Ballantyne/Huntersville Work with existing site leader to provide facilitation & leadership for community meetings in Ballantyne and Huntersville. This individual’s duties will include facilitating meetings on a rotational basis, keeping record of attendance and reporting the information back to the Programs team, provide insight to Program leadership team about satellite requests for meeting topics, speakers and additional information. Duties may also include community service projects and other activities as defined by the chapter.

Western NC-Speaker Chair Will be responsible to recruit speakers for chapter meetings and events, log speaker info. into speaker pipeline spreadsheet. In addition, acquire speaker bio, photo and presentation description, outline speaker and event info and website event, create a timeline matrix spreadsheet and send to need to know individuals(VRMS#5163).

• Speaker Chair-Charlotte Metro Meetings  Will serve as person in Programs Department responsible for coordinating speakers for meetings in their territory (communities <= 30 miles from and including Charlotte). Chair will reach out to qualified presenters and experienced project and program managers to find speaker for each monthly meeting. Will coordinate with the community chairs and VP of Programs to put together scheduled events that add value for our members.(VRMS#6092).

• Speaker Chair-Charlotte Non-Metro Meetings Will serve as person in Programs Department responsible for coordinating speakers for meetings in their territory (communities >= 30 miles from Charlotte). Chair will reach out to qualified presenters and experienced project and program managers to find speaker for each monthly meeting. Will coordinate with the community chairs and VP of Programs to put together scheduled events that add value for our members..(VRMS#6093).

• Charlotte Community Chair Will serve as in-person representation for the Programs Department at all Chapter meetings (1 per month). They will facilitate the event setup, equipment setup, and packing up equipment after the event.(VRMS#6095).

• Program Chair for the Charlotte Metro Area Communities Will assist the VP of Programs by serving as the liaison for the community chairs who assists by providing them with meeting registration lists and confirming submission of PDUs for registered attendees who check in at these meetings. The Charlotte Metro area consists of the following areas(VRMS#6100)

• Program Chair for the Charlotte Non- Metro Area Communities Will assist the VP of Programs by serving as the liaison for the community chairs who assists by providing them with meeting registration lists and confirming submission of PDUs for registered attendees who check in at these meetings. The Non-Metro area consists of the following areas:
East: Wilmington, Jacksonville, Fayetteville / West: Asheville, Wilkesboro, Hickory(VRMS#6101)

• Asheville Community Chair Will facilitate the event setup, collaborate with the Speaker Chair to coordinate speakers and locations for meetings, take attendance and manage PDU submission after the meeting.(VRMS#6106)
